Tango Breakfast Coming to the Boston Area
Boston’s newest organizer and TDJ is bringing tango life to the am. Nam Nguyen is organizing a tango breakfast. Not just any breakfast, a Vietnamese one. Time for those early birds in the community to thrive. Start your Saturday with a delicious morning meal, coffee, and a rejuvenating practica.
Have you been putting off meeting up for coffee or breakfast with one or two of your non-tango friends? Make plans with them now for May 31st. Brian and I will be teaching a beginner friendly class from 9:30am - 10:am. We will also be at the practica to assist you in your tango practice.
Nam’s goal is to promote tango studios and instructors in Greater Boston to the Dorchester community since there is a lack of tango activities in the Dorchester-Quincy area today.
About Nam in his own words:
“Nam Nguyen shadows musicology with his sister (a Composition PhD student at Florida State University) and with Tango DJs and musicians in the Tango community. He helped arrange scores and curate music for a documentary. Nam learns Tango with various instructors. His goal is to understand the essence of Argentine Tango orchestral music (i.e. the substances in the music that make people move), to revive the forgotten Vietnamese Tango melodies with danceable arrangements.”
